Fancy Volunteering?

Are you ready to make a real difference in our community? Volunteering as part of the team isn’t just about giving your time – it’s about sharing unforgettable adventures, learning new skills, and boosting your own personal development along the way.

You don’t need to already know how to tie complicated knots or build the best fire (or even been camping before!); we are looking for individuals from all walks of life who want a rewarding chance to shape young lives, build local connections, and inspire the next generation of confident, resilient young people.

Whether you can give a couple of hours a month or a meeting each week, your talent and support will help us create a safe, fun space for our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers to grow.

Safeguarding & Safety

Keeping our young people safe is at the heart of everything we do. All section team volunteers, and in most cases ad-hoc volunteers, are required to complete extensive safeguarding and safety training, pass enhanced DBS checks, and provide suitable references. We also adhere to strict adult-to-young person ratios, ensure leaders hold the necessary permits for specialist activities, and carefully risk assess every activity we deliver.
