Rob
Group Lead Volunteer
I am the Lead Volunteer of Brighton Hill Scout Group, Scout Team Member and Lead Volunteer for Kraken ESU.
Scouting gave me many adventures, climbing mountains in Africa and participating in events for thousands of young people. I am privileged to now provide opportunities to the next generation.
Laura (Acorn)
Team Leader
Being Team Leader for Somers Squirrel Drey is one of my favourite roles in my life. I have really enjoyed meeting lots of wonderful new people and seeing our Squirrels grow and change from their start with us to the point they are ready to move on. Volunteering with this group is amazing!

I love helping the Squirrels! We do so many different and fun activities and I love seeing them try new things and the achievement and skills they develop from this. As leaders we have fun too, it's a great team to volunteer with.

I love being a Squirrels leader because there’s nothing better than seeing young people grow in confidence and discover what they’re capable of. Whether it’s trying something for the first time, overcoming a challenge, or achieving something they never thought they could do, it’s amazing to watch them develop in their own unique way. Knowing that I can play a small part in helping them thrive within a warm, friendly, and supportive group is incredibly rewarding.

Team Leader
I am currently a Trustee, Beaver Team Leader and Scout Team member. I was a Beaver, Cub and Scout at Brighton Hill. Scouting has given me lifelong friendships and unforgettable experiences. I’d love to help our young people to have the same opportunities.
Sharon
Team Leader
I became involved in Scouting through my children taking on the role of Team Leader for Brighton Hill Cubs a number of years ago. I really enjoy spending time with the Cubs, seeing them develop skills and grow in confidence as they progress through the section.

I've been part of Scouting since I was a Beaver at Brighton Hill. I really enjoyed my time making new friends and learning new skills. Now that I volunteer as a Scout Leader, it’s incredibly rewarding to watch a new generation enjoy those same adventures and develop valuable skills for life.

I am an Explorer Unit leader and assistant Scout Leader. I have been in Scouting since I was a Beaver and never left, although I did move from Bromley District Scouts to Brighton Hill Scout Group. I enjoy the outdoor activities and camping most in our programme!
